The Al Wiseman Collection - Offered Without Reserve

In a press release, RM Auctions announced that over 80 historic and experimental automobiles and 50 vintage motorbikes from the Al Wiseman collection will be offered without reserve on the Wiseman property at 2270 North Highland Ave, Tarpon Springs, Florida on November 31 and December 1, 2007. A preview of the auction will commence from 9am on November 29.

Rob Myers of RM Auctions said in the release, “After devoting several decades to collecting some of the most interesting vintage automobiles and memorabilia in the country, Al Wiseman has decided to share his collection with the collector world. We are honored he has chosen RM as the preferred auction house to do so. The Wiseman collection is most impressive and comprises of many historic, one-of-a-kind and experimental vehicles, all in excellent condition, making this a sale serious car collectors will not want to miss.”

The vehicles expected to get the most attention at the two day event are:

  • 1930 Rauch-Lang, one of the world’s first purposely-built gas / electric hybrid cars.
  • 1931 Rolls Royce Phantom II, featuring a Rolls Royce 1,000-horsepower Merlin V-12 aircraft engine.
  • 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Experimental Raindrop car.
  • 1906 Stanley Steamer.
  • 1940 Lincoln custom Brunn, built for Henry Ford’s wife Clara.
  • 1951 Ford Custom Convertible Experimental Car, which marked a turning point in the auto world for its use of fiberglass.
  • 1957 Lincoln Mark II, previously used by President Eisenhower on his family ranch.
