We Found A Sure Bet In Las Vegas!

Wednesday December 12, 2007

1928 Isotta Franschini Tipo On a recent trip to Las Vegas, we had the pleasure of visiting The Auto Collections inside the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino. On the fifth floor of the hotel, The Auto Collections has a 125,000 square foot showroom with over 250 World Class Automobiles.

There is every type of car you could imagine - Antique Cars, Classic Cars, Muscle Cars, Custom Hot Rods, Movie Cars, Celebrity Cars, Low Mileage Cars, 100 point restored cars, former Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance winners and cars rarely seen by the public. Better yet, many of them are for sale!

On the floor while we were there, on offer was a 1928 Mercedes-Benz S Tourer for $4,750,000.00, as well as the Starsky and Hutch 1976 Ford Gran Torino movie car for $55,000.00. One car in their showroom that's not for sale is Johnny Carson's 1939 Chrysler Royal Sedan; it was in this car that he learned to drive and took his date to the senior prom.

Every automobile on display is beautifully presented, whether it’s the 1932 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Continental Figoni et Falaschi Pillarless Berline or Herbie, the Love Bug. In their Grand Salon you’ll find some of the best of the best automobiles ever produced.

We spoke with Rob Williams, General Manager of The Auto Collections, and he filled us in with some of their upcoming plans to renovate the showroom. We were thinking “how could it get any better that this?” So if you haven’t been there before, we suggest you put it on your list of places to visit in 2008. If you've already been to the showroom, you should consider a second trip.

You can find more information about The Auto Collections on their website.

If you would like to see some of the pictures we took while in their showroom, visit our Photo Gallery.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr.Williams, and fortunate enough to visit the palace several times and it’s always a treat for me to “drool” over the collection he has put together.
It’s one of the first places to Hit when my wife and I make the yearly Vegas run.
Very Cool Stuff
Thanks,
