What Car is Dad Dreaming About

NADAguides.com wanted to know what get’s dad’s motor running, so from May 1 to June 6, 2008 they conducted an online survey to find out. Dads were asked to pick their ultimate dream rides for both new cars and classic cars, as well as its top characteristics.

In a press release, NADAguides.com’s revealed survey results that showed performance is what dad really wants. NADAguides.com does not say how many participated in the survey or the average age of their dads, but they do say that the majority of fathers at 39 percent choose performance as the number one characteristic in the ultimate ride.

It came as no surprise when when we read which cars took top billing in the new and classic car categories in the survey - performance was obviously the driving force in the choices.

The top five winners in Dad’s New Ultimate Dream Car category:

1. (Tie) 2008 Chevy Corvette Z06
2. 2008 BMW 6 Series Convertible
3. 2008 Porsche 911 GT3
4. 2008 Nissan GT-R

The top five winners in Dad’s Classic Ultimate Dream Car category:

1. 1967 Shelby/American Cobra
2. 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda
3. 1957 Chevy Corvette Convertible
4. 1955 Ford Thunderbird
5. 1932 Ford Hiboy Roadster Street Rod
