Where There’s a Will, There’s a Way
When Les Renck of Prescott, Arizona passed away this year, he was as generous in death as he was in life. In his will, Les left his 1953 MGTD to Yavapai Exceptional Industries (YEI!), a facility that has been providing job training, employment, volunteer placements and support services for developmentally disabled adult residents of the Prescott Tri-city area since 1974.
Les Renck knew what a precious gift the MGTD would be to YEI! as he was dedicated member of their board at the time of his passing. Les has seen how gifts, such as land, unappreciated stock and vehicles had helped the facility provide their residents with gainful employment and a sense of personal pride.
One legacy gift in particular was a convertible Cadillac, affectionately known as the “Braddilac”, that raised enough money to build a 500 square foot room at YEI!’s Prescott Valley location.
We were able to take a close look at the MGTD and found it to be in good condition and restored to factory specs. YEI! is planning to put the MG up for auction at next year’s Barrett-Jackson auction and we hope that the bidders are as generous as Les Renck.
