RM Works Hard for the Money
If you go to their website, all of the upcoming auction events are listed with the cars that will be on offer. Each of the magnificent examples that have been chosen to cross their block will have multiple pictures posted with the history and condition of the car, and a bit of history on the marque itself. Most of the companies that get top dollar for their cars would and should include this information on their website.
Recently the auctioneers have come out their RM Magazine that highlights and previews their featured cars coming up for auction. They also include informative articles like “Modifying Your Collector Car” in the July issue. The magazine is very classy and the lack of advertisements is refreshing.
Now RM Auctions has posted video footage of two featured cars at their Monterey event on YouTube. Specifically the 1931 Bentley 8 Litre Tourer and the 1958 Chrysler Diablo Concept. After watching the YouTube videos, the cars seem to take on a “rock star” status and now we are even more excited to see them up close and personal.
If you are planning to be in Monterey, CA on August 14th and 15th, we suggest putting the RM Sports & Classic event on your agenda. The $40.00 admission price is well worth the experience these auctioneers provide on the day.

It’s really a shame that Barrett-Jackson is usually the first name that comes to mind. They have well-done, garish resto-mods for boomers with more money than taste. You’ll never see a significant car at B-J.
RM is one of the auction houses that knowledgeably car enthusiasts go to, and there are a few others.
