The coming of a New Year can be very exciting with the promise of new possibilities and a renewed hope that things will get better. For classic car enthusiasts, it means we can bring in a few more car models into the "classic car" classification as they will now be twenty five years old.
Some of the new models for 1987 that can now call themselves a classic include:
Jeep Wrangler - the CJ's successor that retained the beloved CJ look (minus the round headlamps), on a slightly smaller scale, but was somewhat lighter and strode a wider track.

Mercedes 300CE / 230CE coupe - a long overdue successor to the outgoing W123 coupe.

Dodge Shadow and Plymouth Sundance - Chrysler Corporation introduced these two new compact cars to replace the Dodge Charger and Omni, and Plymouth Turismo and Horizon, respectively.

We only include one picture because basically the Sundance and Shadow were twins. BTW...production of these models ended in 1994 and were replaced by the Dodge/Plymouth Neon, talk about going from bad to worse!
