"Thank you Al Moss, You will be dearly missed" is on the front page of the Moss Motors website. Al Moss, founder of Moss Motors passed away on September 25, 2012, he was 85 years old.
On several occasions we have had the pleasure to enjoy the company of Al Moss at our Jaguar Club of Northern Arizona (JCNAZ) meetings and the Monterey Historic Races. Yes, Al Moss will be dearly missed and he'll be missed by so many. Although the exact cause of death has not been disclosed, we were informed through JCNAZ that Al was being treated for a cancer in August, but was in good spirits.
Our favorite memories of Al is watching him finish the Monterey Historic race in his legendary 1948 MGTC with the turtle radiator cap, and seeing him arrive for our Jaguar Club road tours in his 2006 convertible Miata with a Jaguar Leeper as the hood ornament. He frequently entered the car in shows as the Make and Model being a Miata Jaguar.

Our sincerest condolences to Al's many friends and family.

9/28 Update - We have been informed through a close friend of Al's that he died from complications of his cancer. Thank you Lynda.

We’ll miss you, Al. We’ll miss the quirky rallies with the trick questions, the Garage Tour rallies, the great multi-day tours you planned and ran (sometimes with unexpected weather!), your technical help, your unfailing (well, mostly!) good humor, and your great sense of humor. You can’t be replaced, but you’ll be remembered.
Al organized a wonderful drive/ museum tour of Arizona, Utah and Colorado in May 2011. Despite 4 days of rain cold and snow he soldiered on with his MGTC mostly with the top down! in the few years that I was priviliged to know him he thoroughly enriched my life.
