Once again the Goodwood Revival took attendees back in time and provided some breathtaking action on the track. The Royal Automobile Club Tourist Trophy Celebration race was a particular highlight, with a close battle throughout and a dramatic win for Peter Hardman and Jean-Marc Gounon in the Maranello Concessionaires Ferrari 250 GTO - the actual car in which Graham Hill drove to victory in the TT at Goodwood in 1963.
Other great drives included a fine win in his very first Revival race for Tom Kristensen despite great pressure from Patrick Watts and Martin Brundle. The Gordon Trophy went to Revival regular Nick Wigley whose overtaking maneuver at Woodcote to take the lead was arguably the pass of the weekend and helped him to win the Rolex Driver of the Meeting award.
A splendid and rather moving tribute 'Honouring the Few' from the Battle of Britain 70 years ago included a speech from Lord March, with a field gun salute and a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight fly-past.
