Grid One, 1923 - 1939 Cars Getting Ready

Starting at the traditional time of 16:00 on Saturday afternoon, we see the 1923 - 1939 cars and their drivers getting ready in the first Grid. 1923 marked the first of many 24 Hours Le Mans long distance races. The first decade of Le Mans' history can be divided in the Bentley era and the Alfa Romeo era, with both manufacturers winning the race four years consecutively. In this starting line up, both marques were represented by various well-prepared examples. The Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monzas were top contenders, but victory went to the BMW 328.
