Every classic car enthusiast has to, at least once in their lifetime, make the trek out to the Monterey Peninsula on California fabulous central coastline to experience the Pebble Beach Concourse d'Elegance. This year we saw massive crowds and excessive traffic with over-cast and smoky skies due to local fires burning out of control. But nothing could spoil our fun once we were on the field and surrounded by best of the best cars in the world. Every car is a winner really just to get an invitation to participate in the event.
If you stayed around to watch the awards presentation for the trophy winners, you got the winning combination of a Jay Leno monologue and a Arnold Schwarzenegger mini charity auction. The Governor good naturedly took take some jabbing from Leno, calling him an idiot, but offered a jacket to raise money for the Children After School program.
