The Ferrari Club of America Desert Region presented their annual Concorso Arizona event at The Boulders Resort on November 15, 2008. The weather and the venue made for a picture perfect setting to display prime examples of Ferrari, Lamborghini and Pantera.
Although the Concorso Arizona is a unique treat for the car palette, the event’s main purpose is to attract entrants and spectators in order to raise money to help children and their families. This year’s beneficiary is the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix and at the time of this writing, the total take was still being calculated. We hope they beat last year’s figure of $25,000.
This was our first year attending Concorso Arizona and frankly we don’t know as much as we’d like about these exotic marques, but after spending an educational afternoon with these high performing beasts and their owners, we are definitely looking forward to next year’s event.
