We are frequent visitors to eBay Motors to acquire parts for our classics, especially when we dive into a restoration project. To date, we have purchased over thirty parts from sellers at eBay Motors in the last year while restoring a 1961 Mark II Jaguar, all positive transactions we might add.
And a word from our winner:
Well, there is no word from our winner. After spending hours trying to get the “announcement” of their win to anyone at the corporate level within eBay Motors, we have given up. Employees in customer service were literally unbreakable when it came to getting a phone number or email for anyone beyond there domain...even folks who were About.com readers.
But not having access to eBay’s corporate staff didn’t seem to be an obstacle for voters who consider eBay Motors their favorite classic car parts supplier. In fact, it’s good buyers and sellers that make the online auction website so popular. Transactions are much more transparent than any other type of medium because each eBay Member’s sale is recorded and visible along with its positive or negative feedback. It’s very important for sellers to have happy customers because even one negative feedback could have a buyer looking elsewhere. It’s all about providing confidence in a purchase that you can’t physically inspect.
We would love to hear from eBay Motors management to give them our congratulations personally, so if any of you out there can help pass on the word of their win, we would appreciate it.
