Barrett-Jackson's 2008 Sneak Peak

Tuesday December 4, 2007

We’ve received our Barrett-Jackson 2008 sneak preview magazine today which has pictures and descriptions of some of the many fabulous cars that will be crossing the auction block on January 15th through the 20th, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Although these cars are much more impressive in person than they portray in photographs, we can’t help but get excited about this upcoming celebration of the automobile. It would take up too much space for us to list all the cars we have earmarked as a “must see”.

Every year this world famous collector car event attracts and puts on offer some great celebrity autos, and after looking through the sneak preview magazine, 2008 will be no exception. Some of the celebrity cars we’ll be reporting back to you from Barrett-Jackson are:

  • The 1966 Pontiac GTO Monkeemobile. It is the original #1 Kustom car featured in the Monkees TV series.
  • The Beverly Hillbillies Custom Truck used in both the TV show and the movie.
  • The “Flying Car” built by Monster Garage host Jesse James.
  • Alice Cooper’s 1955 Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing Custom Re-creation, which includes Alice’s Calloway golf clubs and an autographed guitar.
  • Carroll Shelby’s fully restored 1969 Shelby GT500 convertible which he owned since new.
You can download the Scottsdale 2008 Barrett-Jackson Sneak Peek issue, Schedule of Events, Admission Ticket Prices and Descriptions, Automobilia information and more at the Barrett-Jackson website.
