Who Would be the Best Commander-in-Chief?

Thursday October 30, 2008
As baby boomers, we have been around long enough to experience quite a few presidential elections, and not since the John F. Kennedy campaign of 1960 has there been so much emotion brought to the surface when friends, family or perfect strangers start comparing the 2008 candidates.

Having said that, we felt that having this election come and go and not broach the subject with our readers would be difficult for us. Through out our lifetime of involvement with automotive enthusiasts, such as yourselves, we found most not only have an appreciation of cars, but the technology, innovation and creativity that produced these magnificent machines over the years - all of which could be influenced differently depending on who's elected.

The automotive community also seems to be comprised of individuals who dig in and look for the root of a problem in order to get things repaired correctly and working properly, no matter how long it takes.

Subsequently, we couldn’t think of a better group than our “car crazy” audience to ask:

Thank you in advance for your participation.

Great poll, but I think the correct phrase is Commander In Chief. BTW, it’s interesting to see classic car types back McCain, who is a bit of a classic himself – or was until he reinvented himself with unoriginal parts!

Kudos to Tony & Michele for their prompt fix of Commander-in-Chief! And being nice enough to not point out that I failed to hyphenate it when pointing out their mistake.
