Don Robertson's Antique Auto Collection at the Gold King Mine

From Tony and Michele Hamer, About.com

At Gold King Mine and Ghost Town in Jerome, Arizona, you'll see much more than 100 year old buildings, mining equipment and artifacts. There are hundreds of antique and unique vehicles that are part of the proprietors, Don Robertson, personal collection. Although most of them look as though they're just rusting away, you'd be surprised how many of them Don can start and drive.

And don't let Don's scruffy whiskers, suspenders and floppy old hat fool you into thinking he's just an old country boy. Behind those blue eyes is a master mechanic who knows his engines and automobiles. We would bet real money that there isn't an engine out there that he couldn't get running no matter how long it sat idle. Don told us he started working on tricycles when he was three and just kept going.
